So I realized a pet peeve that I have.
When people come over uninvited, right during dinner, eat, then don't offer to help clean-up or chip in for the food ordered and then leave.
I don't want to sign like a major witch but honestly........do people have any courtesy.
Now I can see how the first couple of times I can be a good host and not complain. Then when it keeps happening and the mess keeps getting bigger and bigger....I start to lose my mind. I work all day and go to school full-time. I teach at church and have three children. I don't have all the time in the world to be cleaning every night all night.
So next time you want to come for dinner without an invitation, I just ask that you can chip in once in awhile or at least help clean-up. Thanks!
My husband and I have no kids, and he has quite a few single friends that regularly hang out at our house. They ALWAYS leave something behind, like an empty plastic cup that had a drink in it or beer bottles and ashtrays (we don't smoke) it drives me off the wall, especially when I feed them. I get where you are coming from!
